The Weidling GmbH is the largest provider of industrial labeling solutions in the region. With approx. 50 employees and a modern machine park, Weidling GmbH produces on more than 3,000 square meters in the heart of Berlin. The bandwidth includes various marking methods.
Since the company was founded in 1983, screen printing has formed the core of contract manufacturing for well-known companies such as Siemens, ABB, Continental and Motorola. On the one hand, front foils, stickers and keyboard foils are produced by screen printing. On the other hand, in screen direct and round printing, front panels, housings and round bodies are printed in one or multiple colors. The screen printing has been supplemented in recent years by the digital printing process, which can print both roll goods and moldings and plate material consistantly.
In the pad printing process moldings made of plastic and metal are processed on more than 15 pad printing machines. Filigree logos and motives can be permanently labeled as well as convex and deeper layers.
For 25 years, laser machines have been used for the individual labeling of materials and special foils. The machinery now includes six machines. Due to the CNC control of the systems, all barcode types and numbering can be processed. The laser marking is supplemented by the offer of machine engraving and electrolytic inscriptions.
Cutting and milling technique has increased sharply, especially in recent years. Originally, only printed matter was punched, cut, milled or laser-cut. Today, diverse materials for the production of insulating films, stencils and packaging are processed.
In the etching process, technical parts are separated out of very thin metal foils by acid treatment. The materials used are stainless steel, brass, nickel silver, copper, bronze and nickel. The customers are primarily in the fields of electronics, sensor technology, mechanical engineering and medical technology. Typical products are shields, contacts, springs and grids.
